SLAVONIC DANCES
1997
I graduated summer 1997, and whilst working full time in a business centre to improve my financial situation, I maintained my musical involvement with the DMU Orchestra and Choir, directed by David Lawrence. In addition to playing clarinet in the orchestra, I continued my work as a transposer and arranger. Among my most notable contributions from this period was arranging three of Dvořák’s sixteen Slavonic Dances—Nos. 2, 7, and 8—for a select ensemble within the orchestra, preparing them for their forthcoming tour of France.
