ROMANIAN FOLK DANCES

This arrangement for the university department’s mixed ensemble features six of Béla Bartók's interpretations of Romanian folk songs: - Jucul cu bala - Braul - Pe loc - Buciumeana - Poarga Românească - Mănuțelul In developing the arrangement, I carefully apportioned and blended the available instruments into distinct 'color groups,' aiming to ‘paint’ each folk song with its own unique hue. This approach not only enhanced the individual character of each piece but also highlighted the diverse timbres and rich sound worlds of the ensemble.
