Composed for the tuned percussion ensemble at De Montfort University, Leicester, Tree explores the rich sonorities and rhythmic possibilities of the instrument group.

The work is built around repeating and branching musical ideas, with the title reflecting the organic way in which the material grows and develops throughout the piece.
